MI-5 Pre-title sequence

The pre-title sequence involved the conception and filming of a multiple-camera, CCTV system that captured a number of armed motorbike riders, racing through traffic to attack and hold up an MI-5, prisoner transport. Shot over 4 days, on a locked down set, the sequence is completed when Qasim, a high profile terrorist, is released and escapes on the back of a motorbike into a rain- soaked London. Location filming was then matched with wider CCTV coverage of gridlocked traffic. Rain and other elements were added to various footage to complete the scenes. The final surveillance sequences were edited, graded and designed for playback across the Sub Command’s many screens and large wall monitors.
